Our Design Philosophy
=
interactivity, experience, & education that lasts
Our Approach
MedAssent began with our founder, Dr. Lisa Chan, and her experience with medication adherence in her own family. Our team united around shared recognition of unmet need in this area, which we all experienced in various ways - in family experiences, in our own health, and in clinical practice.
In designing MedAssent Rx, our team identified the top causes of medication nonadherence and realized that the lack of patient education is a major driver that others in the space either ignore or inadequately address.
Thus, we’ve made it our mission to put medication information into the hands of those who need it, in the way that’s the most effective for them. Following this mission, our team of clinicians, pharmacists, and content producers have spent years simplifying and condensing complex information from manufacturer sources to post-market studies, thoroughly encompassing and surpassing the legacy standard. We aim to change behaviors with interactive, engaging, and culturally nuanced educational content.
Native Translation
With a majority of our team being people of color and first- or second-generation immigrants, we know firsthand that patients learn best when information is given in their native tongue. Thus, we proudly employ native speakers for translation rather than computers alone, maximizing engagement for the 25 million U.S. patients with limited English proficiency.
